OPEN EXHIBITION LAUNCH
We are holding a Community Photography exhibition in a new Photography space at The Old Print Works, Balsall Heath.
Come along on Friday 20 March 2026 at 6:30 - 9.30pm - ALL WELCOME. Don't worry if you can't make it as it will be open on Saturday 11th April as part of the Balsall Heath Second Saturday
This is organised as a collaborative initiative between PRISM, IGERS Birmingham, Darkroom Birmingham and The Old Print Works; the exhibition celebrates its opening.
Photographers were asked to submit up to 3 digital images focussing on the theme 'Community' and we had over 75 photographers submitting their images. Wow yes wow! We are printing and displaying at least one image from each photographer. For a few photographers who we felt had excelled we have printed more of their images. Don't forget as well if you have an analog image that you couldn't submit digitally you can bring it along on the night and it will be displayed. Everyone who has submitted /submits images and registers on arrival will be entered into a raffle to win the newest generation Kindle Paperwhite. Complimentary refreshments will accompany talks and informal networking throughout the evening.
Also all submitted digital images will appear in a projected reel in the new gallery.
We thank The Old Print Works and Birmingham City Council for their support; as time goes by we will tell you more about the Gallery space and how it will operate. This project is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
